Job Title: Credit Controller
Salary: £30k - £35k
Location: NW London - 3 days a week from home.
Contract: 18 Months FTC
We are representing one of the most exciting residential developers with a stronghold in London and further afield. They are adding to their team due to continued growth, by bringing in a credit controller. The successful candidate will have residential real estate experience in a similar position and have experience collecting payments from, and liaising directly with, tenants.
This role will be fast paced, in a small but growing team and needs someone to come in and hit the ground running. Any experience with the legal side of escalating claims will be a bonus, but is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
To be responsible for the credit control on specified developments
To proactively chase outstanding arrears from residents and updating your line manager
Follow & execute the pre-legal processes including negotiation, through to legal proceedings with our 3rd party debt collection agency for bad debts when necessary
To assist in ensuring that the correct rent demands are raised and to assist in the Direct Debit run on a monthly basis
Identify high risk residents and ensure they are provided with appropriate support and advice
To liaise with third party debt collectors and solicitors to reclaim long standing debts from previous and current residents
Ensure all residents adhere to their contractual payment terms
Ensure prompt resolution of any direct debit queries/issues
Periodically completely budget extension forms and managing costs for third party debt collectors and solicitors
Assist the receivables team in completing tasks sent to finance by the leasing and residents team ensuring all requested changes are correctly reflected on the resident ledgers in Salesforce on a timely basis
Maintain a high quality of data in Salesforce through regular checks of error logs
Check residents' ledgers are accurate and correct transactions where required.
The ideal candidate:
Minimum 18 months experience in a similar role, within real estate
Experience dealing with residential tenants, collecting rent and other charges
Exposure to legal elements of escalating cases
Able to work both independently and part of a team
