Structural Engineer – 6-Month Contract (Outside IR35)
Location: Hybrid – Office attendance required once a week (Wednesdays) in Bristol (candidates from Cardiff, Bath, and surrounding areas considered)
Rate: £30-£35 per hour (Outside IR35)
Contract Length: 6 months
A growing consultancy is looking for a Structural Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong background in residential design, including extensions, loft conversions, and new-build houses.
Key Responsibilities:
Producing TAC packs and markups
Minimal drawing work – focus on Tekla Tedds & AutoCAD
Working on residential projects – extensions, loft conversions, and new builds
Attending the office once a week (Wednesdays) for collaboration
Requirements:
5+ years' experience as a Structural Engineer (Chartered or non-Chartered)
Strong knowledge of Tekla Tedds & AutoCAD
Experience in residential structural design
Ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation and markups
