We are currently looking to recruit a Head of Technology Risk & Governance, a strategic thinker and hands on leader who can drive a culture of proactive risk management, ensuring our technology function stays resilient, compliant, and future-ready.

We work in a hybrid work model, with 2 to 3 days onsite in our Walsall Head Office and the remaining days working from home.

The salary is between £75,000 - £85,000 + £7000 cash/car allowance, 15% bonus, 6% matched pension and private medical cover.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Developing and embedding IT risk management frameworks that align with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) standards.
Proactively identifying and managing emerging risks, from cybersecurity threats to regulatory changes.
Overseeing IT assurance activities ensuring systems, processes, and projects meet both business and regulatory requirements (FCA, SOx, NIST).
Collaborating with technology and business teams to develop risk mitigation strategies.
Driving IT governance policies, risk reviews, and governance forums to provide expert insights.
Partnering closely with information security and infrastructure teams to maintain system performance and security.
Leading and mentoring a team of IT risk professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

More about you;

A proven leader in technology risk, governance, or compliance.
Strong knowledge of IT risk management, audits, and control frameworks.
Ability to challenge, influence, and collaborate at all levels, including senior leadership.
A mix of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, someone who can see the big picture but isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.
Experience working with regulatory bodies and compliance frameworks (FCA, SOx, NIST).
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment, you thrive on change and love solving problems
