My client is looking for a Data Engineer to help build and maintain robust data pipelines, ensuring seamless data integration and transformation to support business decisions in the clean energy space.
What you will be doing:
Develop and maintain data pipelines: Work with large-scale datasets to ensure efficient data processing, transformation, and storage.
Optimise data workflows: Use Apache Spark and Databricks to process and analyse energy-related data efficiently.
Database management: Develop and optimise SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for reporting and analytics.
Data warehousing: Design, implement, and maintain data warehouse solutions to support efficient data storage and retrieval for analytics and reporting.
Cloud integration: Deploy and manage data infrastructure on AWS and Azure platforms.
Automation and CI/CD: Utilise Azure DevOps and DBT to automate data workflows, version control, and deployments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to support analytics and machine learning initiatives.
You will need:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related STEM field.
1-5 years experience in a Data Engineering role or similar.
Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and analysis.
Experience working with Databricks and Apache Spark for big data processing.
Familiarity with AWS and Azure for cloud-based data solutions.
Knowledge of DBT for data transformation and modelling.
Experience with data warehousing concepts and tools like Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with large-scale datasets.
