SEN Teaching Assistant – Elevate Supply, Primary Schools in South Sheffield

Elevate Supply is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our partner primary schools in South Sheffield. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) both on a one-to-one basis and in small groups. This is a full-time role starting after the Easter half-term and running throughout the remainder of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent contract based on performance.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work across the school, providing essential support to students with special educational needs. Your key responsibilities will include:

Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN
Helping students to achieve their full academic potential by offering tailored assistance
Establishing positive, productive relationships with students and acting as a supportive role model
Working closely with the school's SENCO to monitor progress, achievement, behaviour, and attendance
Participating in professional development and training as required

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or supporting students with Special Educational Needs (experience with younger children is a plus)
Passionate about inclusion and dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for students with SEN
Willing to participate in training and professional development opportunities
Available full-time from after the Easter half-term

Additional Information:

Pay rate: £80 to £120 per day (depending on experience)
Location: South Sheffield, easily accessible from surrounding areas like Barnsley and Rotherham
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Opportunity for contract extension and potential permanent placement based on performance
