Data Protection Analyst / Paralegal

We are delighted to be working with a highly regarded full-service law firm to find a Data Privacy Analyst/Paralegal.

Our client is a smart, forward-thinking and friendly employer that has grown significantly in the last 10 years to become one of the UK’s Top 50 firms. It has been listed in The Times Best Law Firms and is consistently ranked in the top tier of the legal sector guides. The firm is proud to serve leading household names, large business, public bodies and private individuals. It offers its staff a warm and respectful working environment and understanding culture.

As the firm grows the internal risk and compliance team is expanding to meet the demands of the business.Within the last year a DPO has been appointed, and a new Privacy Officer has been recruited from within the firm. These two individuals now need the support of a junior data protection colleague.

The role will involve a range of administrative duties including supporting on subject access requests (DSARs). The postholder will need a firm grasp of technology and IT systems, and ideally good working knowledge of Microsoft products. You must be confident at handling large volumes of data and be able to organise yourself to work effectively and efficiently.

The successful individual will be trained and mentored by knowledgeable senior staff and given an opportunity to develop their skills. There is room to grow in the role and if desired you could secure data protection accreditations in due course.Although any data protection knowledge or experience in a law firm will be an added advantage it is not a prerequisite to be considered for this opportunity.

The position is a permanent role in the team. The firm offers hybrid working and the role can be based out of offices in either Oxford or Nottingham but travel between offices may be necessary to execute the required duties.

If you are seeking a fresh challenge in a role where you will be making a significant contribution, please get in touch with Michelle Corneby at Cyan Partners to find out more. Michelle@cyan.partners
