Neo is an online booking tool (OBT) as well as an expense tool for business travel through a SaaS deployment.
It allows a user to search and book a business trip in a user friendly and performant web application. It gives him access to different transport modes and travel suppliers within the travel policy set by his company.
It then gives the opportunity to claim additional expenses for reimbursement. This includes expenses captured from credit cards statements, OCR of receipts, and manually entered claims. The service allows to capture VAT, compute policies and reimbursement rules, and much more. Many of those data are either personal or sensitive, which means a strong commitment to secure principles and compliance to certifications such as PCI-DSS.

As an Intern, you’ll join the Amex GBT Neo Travel team. Amex GBT Neo is an Online Booking Tool (OBT) as well as an expense tool for business travel. It enables users to book a business trip in a user friendly and performant web application with different travel suppliers following his company travel policy.
Here are different possibilities of topics we can adapt depending on the personal skills and the duration of the internship:
Propose and implement a prototype for the evolution of an internal tool which enables users to search among a large number of documents coming from various sources. The current tool is based on Apache Solr, and the prototype should introduce AI with a usage of a locally hosted LLM. (Python, Node.js, Vue.js)
Explore new capacities given by the activation of the “ML Commons Plugin” to an OpenSearch deployment
Participate in activities around security. Contribute to security enhancements based on static code analysis (C#, Javascript), be member of our application security group at development level.

We are looking for a talented Java developer who is passionate about new technologies and has a real desire to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
You will be joining the AmexGBT Egencia eCommerce team at an exciting time with an ambitious roadmap to help Egencia build the next generation platform.
This internship will start around March 2025 and end September 2025.

Show your progress on a regular basis through demo sessions
Produce quality code (including a wide automatic and unit tests) and documentation
Contribute on the team activity as a regular team member for 1 to 2 weeks, in order to ramp up on the AmexGBT Egencia environment
What We’re Looking For
You are looking for an end-of-studies internship as part of your Bac +5 engineering training specializing in IT.
You have good knowledge of Java/Kotlin or any modern programming language.
Knowledge of AWS technology is a plus
