Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Description
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the technical development of mechanical systems in rail projects, ensuring high-quality solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards. Your role includes resolving design challenges, managing production-related technical issues, and ensuring seamless communication across departments. Fluency in French and English is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development:
Perform activities related to the GFV phase of rail projects.
Modify and finalize FTA or drawings using CATIA V5 R19 with the SHEETMETAL module and other specified tools.
Create and manage Change Requests and coordinate weekly in the Configuration Control Board meetings.
Ensure compliance with allocated mechanical requirements and interfaces for subsystems and equipment.
Address technical and manufacturing issues, collaborating with the calculations department.
Provide leadership to resolve mechanical project challenges and take informed technical decisions.

Coordination and Reporting:

Liaise with manufacturing sites and ensure technical exchanges are productive.
Use DOORS to verify and track requirements.
Report progress in the mechanical domain, identifying and escalating issues that may impact DQC commitments.

Tools and Skills:

CATIA V5 R19 with SHEETMETAL module
CMT
DOORS
Design of screwed assemblies and welded joints.
Familiarity with EI 150210, EI 150211, and DTRF150211 standards.
Knowledge of CBS development and products such as CORADIA MAX, CORADIA LNVG, and BADEN.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Design Engineer, with a proven track record in railway projects.
Polyvalent and fully autonomous in design tasks.
In-depth understanding of mechanical design principles in the rail domain.

Language Requirements

Fluent in both French and English.

The Testing & Commissioning Support Engineer will assist the validation team in ensuring the
functional and performance readiness of trains. This role requires on-site involvement during
the testing phase, with a focus on supporting functional tests (90%) and performance tests
(10%) in compliance with operational and safety standards.

Job Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on support for the functional and performance testing of trains,
ensuring adherence to design specifications.
Assist in executing test protocols, analysing results, and troubleshooting issues during
the testing and commissioning phase.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including validation engineers and project
managers, to address technical challenges.
Analyse the TPR (Test Problem Reports), the CR (Change Requests) and communicate
to System Engineering or Control Engineering teams.
Document and report test results, non-conformities, and resolutions to stakeholders.
Support validation efforts by ensuring that trains meet operational, safety, and
regulatory requirements.
Work on-site for a limited duration in Salzgitter (Germany) and at FUSINA as required,
providing active support for testing activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) or
equivalent experience.
Experience in testing and commissioning processes, preferably in the rail or
transportation sector.
Familiarity with train systems and subsystems, including electrical, mechanical, and
software components.
Knowledge of rail industry standards and safety regulations.
Hands-on experience with testing tools and equipment.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency in technical documentation and reporting.

The Train Control Engineer will design, develop, and implement control systems to
manage and optimize engineering processes and equipment. This role requires a strong
understanding of control theory, system dynamics, and the integration of hardware and
software for automated systems.

Job Responsibilities:
Perform control engineering activities for one or several functions from architecture to
detailed specification, interface and Pure Principal Scheme or Logical Diagram.
For its function formulating a Low voltage and SW control design solution that fulfils the
specified customer.
Deliver Interface Control Document (ICD) for sub system participating in its function.
Treatment of Change Request (CR) related to its function.
Provide support for Supplier interface test or TC&IS verification tests on PC or TCMS Test

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Hands-on experience in design & development in developing in IEC61131-3 software
or using model-based development tools like Matlab / Simulink, Control Build etc
Knowledge of network topologies and interfaces for Serial, Ethernet, MVB and other industrial communication network.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Technical Project Engineer to support the Request for Tender (RFT) process and project delivery for emergency generator and fuel tank systems. This role combines technical expertise with supplier management and interface coordination to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality systems. The ideal candidate is technically oriented, experienced in genset or process systems, and capable of managing complex interfaces and priorities within an industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the RFT process for emergency generator and fuel tank systems.
Resume and maintain supplier management, addressing ongoing topics and ensuring alignment with project requirements.
Oversee and validate technical documentation, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and responding to customer comments in collaboration with suppliers.
Coordinate and manage interfaces with other business units, identifying and resolving issues as needed.
Prepare for testing phases by validating procedures and ensuring readiness.
Travel as required to perform inspections, follow up on progress, and address customer remarks with the support of the RFT referent.
Ensure all work aligns with technical, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

Strong technical background, preferably with experience in genset or process systems.
Proven ability to manage interfaces, priorities, and supplier relationships effectively.
Industry experience in technical project delivery, supplier follow-up, and documentation management.
