We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to analyze, synthesize, and develop geotechnical designs based on various data sources, ensuring high-quality solutions tailored to project specifications. This role will involve collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and will require attention to the quality and traceability of deliverables in accordance with the best practices and project standards. Key Responsibilities: Analyze geophysical, geotechnical, topographic, and bathymetric data to inform design decisions. Define foundational geotechnical design principles, including foundation type recommendations (e.g., shallow foundations, driven or bored piles). Provide recommendations for earthworks, including guidance on material reuse for backfill, platform level adjustments to optimize earth movements, and road/paving designs. Establish design parameters and conduct designs for shallow and deep foundations. Pre-design foundations for special structures (e.g., tanks, towers). Recommend further exploratory studies as needed and, where necessary, specify the performance of test piles. Work with foundational documents provided by the project, including soil ratios, site layout plans, and project-specific regulatory guidelines. Required Skills: Proven expertise in geotechnical engineering, with a strong background in foundation design. Proficiency in English and effective communication in both French and English. Strong knowledge of onshore geotechnics and experience with geotechnical calculation software.
