Paladign Analyst Developer
Duration: Initial 12 months contract
Location: Central London (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Setup: Contract (inside ir35)
We are seeking a Paladign Analyst Developer with a strong technical background in IBM i development, RPG programming, and financial services. This role involves analysing business requirements, developing and testing software solutions, and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Paladign, RPG, CL, and IBM iSeries (AS/400), along with experience in XML, MQ Series, SFTP, and SQL for data exchange and workflow optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain software solutions based on Paladign and IBM i technologies.
Perform unit and integration testing, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Own software releases and documentation, managing version control and updates.
Define and maintain coding standards, toolsets, and quality benchmarks.
Collaborate with IT teams, QA, and stakeholders to ensure seamless deployments.
Key Skills & Experience
5+ years’ experience in Financial Services, particularly private banking.
Expertise in Paladign, including the update module.
Proficiency in IBM iSeries (AS/400) development, including RPG (fixed and free format) and CL.
Hands-on experience with XML, MQ Series, SFTP, and SQL for system integration.
Desirable Skills
Java development on IBM i.
Experience with Control-M job scheduling and Turnover change control.
Communication & Collaboration
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to liaise with business users, developers, and global teams.
Commitment to knowledge sharing and best practices across teams.

- Storage Engineer - Data Centre Migration project What is the role? One of our financial services clients is looking to hire an experienced Storage Engineer to play a pivotal role in the migration to a new data centre on an initial 12-month contract. This role is essential in building and consolidating a centralised storage infrastructure for the firm, integrating multiple storage arrays, and setting up a NetBackup infrastructure at both the new and existing locations. What will you do? You will collaborate with application teams to plan and execute seamless data and backup migrations, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal business disruption. Support existing storage migrations in other global regions Consolidate storage infrastructure from Dell EMC, Dell Fujitsu, and Pure Storage arrays on to the Hitachi strategic storage platform Conduct SAN and NAS migrations, with potential involvement in object storage migrations. Manage remote data centre storage operations and upgrades, including Brocade SAN switch upgrades. Some additional BAU support will also be needed Please note that the successful candidate will be required to work out of hours, primarily on Friday evenings and Saturdays, with at least three Saturdays per month expected. Most production system migrations will take place on weekends to minimise business disruption. Compensation will include either additional pay or time off in lieu for weekend work.
