Responsibilities/Tasks
To be responsible for the I.T Infrastructure, enabling our systems and services to reside on the most secure, reliable and resilient platforms while consolidating existing Infrastructures and reducing costs.
To assist in the planning, change control and execution of all core infrastructure upgrades and implementations.
To provide an escalation route for all Infrastructure incidents where 1st, 2nd and 3rd line avenues have been followed.
To provide auditing and reporting for all internal and customers I.T infrastructures, to highlight risks and plans for mitigation.
To identify new products and technologies where we are currently vulnerable or exposed, particularly from a data security perspective.
To provide guidance and support to the wider ICT Services division
To assist with the expansion of our ICT Services
Knowledge, Experience & Skills
Good understanding of IT Managed Services
Excellent customer handling skills
Ability to communicate service information to a varied and often senior audience
Comfortable managing escalations
Ability to prioritize work under pressure and strict deadlines.
Good familiarity with IT systems, networks and databases
Good general overall technical understanding of all new technologies
Good understanding of PC hardware, Microsoft operating systems and networking
History of working with server technologies
