Job description:
As a Data Scientist, you will work closely with data experts in the business to analyze complex datasets, develop innovative data-driven solutions, and provide valuable insights to drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have experience using Databricks for data science work and possess a strong background in both Generative AI and traditional AI techniques.
Technical Skills:
· Collaborate with data experts and stakeholders to understand business objectives and identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive decision-making and business growth.
· Design and implement advanced data models, algorithms, and statistical analyses to extract meaningful insights from large and complex datasets.
· Develop and deploy machine learning models using Databricks for predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and other data science applications.
· Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and correlations in the data, and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data science, AI, and machine learning techniques, and proactively identify opportunities to apply them to business challenges.
· Mentor and provide guidance to junior data scientists, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
· Proficiency in using Databricks for data science work, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation.
· Apply both Generative AI and traditional AI techniques to solve complex business problems and optimize processes
· Solid understanding of data visualization techniques and tools (e.g., Qlik, Tableau, Power BI) to effectively communicate complex findings to stakeholders.
Process Skills:
· Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
· Proven experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions.
· Strong knowledge of both Generative AI and traditional AI techniques, including deep learning, natural language processing, and statistical modeling.
· Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively to develop innovative data-driven solutions.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment is highly desirable.
Behavioral Skills :
· Help build a highly reliable, efficient, and scalable back end to support Group Ecosystem applications
· Set up a monitoring platform for logging and reporting internal bugs.
· Make suggestions and improvements to our current architecture.
· Work with Scrum Team to document and spec out new features as needed for Production Support
· Practical experience migrating monolithic architectures to use discrete micro-services
· Knowledge of Distributed System
· Experience in As-Is analysis, provide implementation roadmap creation and recommendations for application and system performance
· Knowledge of Agile and Lean Practices
· Strong hands-on experience with DevOps automation tools
· Work directly with clients and our teams by leading and being accountable for the design and delivery of advanced DevSecOps capabilities
· Provide technical leadership for the team of Software and DevOps Engineers through communication, documentation, and examples
· Design, code, test, debug, and document software enabling DevOps in an agile environment
· Lead the execution of technical tasks for enterprise-level clients
· Lead a project team of consultants on simultaneous client projects
Experience and Education Required
· Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. We will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
· 12+ years of IT experience
