PE Global is recruiting a Supplier Development Engineer for our industrial manufacturing client based in Peterlee. The role is an initial 12 month contract and the rate range for this role is £29.72 - £40.50 p/h.

Responsibilities:

Serves as the trusted advisor for assigned supply base through the following functional responsibilities: Assessing potential suppliers via on-site Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, Management (QCLDM) audits, driving implementation of Lean, BIQ, & APQP, continuously reviewing supplier capacity, assuring production readiness through rigorous review of supplier PPAP submission, being recognized as the expert in supplier quality.
Provides technical expertise and leadership to the supply base in the execution of a robust quality plan within the supplier network.
Collaborates with suppliers to assure proper process control standards are in place and continuously monitors key manufacturing processes for improvement opportunities.
Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of technological developments and trends for guidance of commodity teams in advancements of design, quality, and manufacturing.

Requirements:

Must have apprenticeship as minimum of education
Microsoft office experience essential
5+ years SDE experience. Manufacturing, steel fabrication industry experience
