On behalf of HM Land Registry, we are looking for a Test Automation Engineer (Inside IR35) for a 12 Months contract based Hybrid/ in UK wide.

As a Test Automation Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:
* Advocate best practice leading through practical examples and guidance
* Perform in depth reviews reporting quality improvements and successes
* Update and enhance technical practice and quality frameworks
* Work with teams to assist technical startup and overcome impediments
* Teach, mentor and be a role model for quality test implementation
* Be able to perform technical and business analysis that will underly technical solutions
* Innovate and generate tooling to assist testing tasks and potential future issues
* Be able to understand overall system process and architecture to understand issues and impact that may need to be considered
* Build relations and input into other practices to represent test community views and help build enhancements
Essential:
* Practitioner level experience of automated testing and automated test tools.
* Experience in Ruby.
* Strong experience in SQL.
* Practitioner in understanding environment needs and capabilities
* Practitioner in technical analysis. Absorb large amounts of conflicting information to determine solutions
* Practitioner in both functional and non-functional testing
* Experience in integration practices
* Experience in training and mentoring technical test skills
* Practitioner in technical breadth over a range of tools and techniques
Desirable:
* Openshift and cloud technologies
