Lead SOC Analyst/ Incident Responder required by Harrington Starr’s boutique financial services organisation. This newly created role will give the new hire the opportunity to take ownership of the incident management process whilst being the POC for any major incidents. The role will also play a role in helping the company mature their cyber operations function.

The role is London based.

On a day-to-day basis the role will include:

Triaging security incidents
SIEM monitoring for incident investigations/ for the development of monitoring dashboards.
Use of playbooks, on-line resources and threat intelligence to enhance attack detection
Creation of new\ updating existing playbooks
Keep up to date with current vulnerabilities and attack techniques

Key skills needed:

5 years of experience in a Senior Security Operations role role, with a focus on incident response and reporting within the financial services sector.
Proficiency in using SIEM tools, specifically Splunk, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and other security technologies. Strong understanding of network protocols, attack methodologies, and defensive strategies.
Experience of cloud security highly beneficial
CISSP or similar certs preferable

You will be part of the project team reporting to the Project Manager for specific projects. What you will do: Ensure that the project technical solution fulfils EPC and EBOP/ICP contract and other project requirements. Responsible for sign-off of project technical change. Management of PV specialist consultants and advisors including determination of scopes of work and interpretation of advice received. Keep all Engineering project information and tasks up to date in Elgin Energy reporting. Liaison, collaboration, and provision of technical and strategic advice to the various multi-disciplinary teams working on Elgin Energy’s projects. Ensure effective communication between partners and other colleagues (e.g. in finance, engineering, H&S, Project Management) to support the objective that the projects are designed and optimised. Managing engineering support to development sites and participation in technical meetings. Assist in the preparation of tender documentation, for front-end engineering (e.g. geotechnical investigations, structural studies, EYA, preliminary layout) and ensure that they are prepared on time, and are of the highest possible standard. Your profile A minimum bachelor’s degree qualification in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering. At least 3 years’ experience in large scale PV solar farm and BESS projects. Experience in AutoCAD and PVSyst Knowledge of PV development and construction Knowledge and understanding of PV technology, grid connections, solar energy yield assessments, shading, ground conditions interpretation and foundation, MV/HV grid connection procedures, PV plant installation procedures. Experience of solar project procurement, construction and commissioning. Experience and knowledge of relevant Irish & UK design codes, regulations and policy. Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation in Ireland and UK. Proficiency in translating engineering issues into CAPEX and OPEX assumptions. High analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced emerging market.
