Job title: Development Engineer
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of engineering projects from concept to production. You'll be at the forefront of developing advanced materials used in critical civilian and military applications, ensuring safety, efficiency, and innovation.
Responsibilities
Lead the development of new products and processes.
Design and execute test programs for validation and characterisation.
Support business development through customer visits, calls, and events.
Act as a key technical contact for suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
Become a subject matter expert within the business for a specific product range.
Define and implement internal and external test programs for new materials.
Some UK travel required, with potential for occasional overseas travel.
Requirements
Strong understanding of material science.
Well-organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects
Excellent technical writing skills for reports, proposals, and presentations.
Experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
Knowledge of composite materials is a plus.
High attention to detail and ability to work in a procedure-driven environment.
Must be eligible for Security Clearance.
