We have an exciting opportunity for a CAD Technician/Draftsperson to be a key member of the Change Management process by actioning requests within the business to update technical documentation.
This role is offered on a 6-12 month fixed-term contract basis.
The Role
As CAD Technician/Draftsperson, you will provide specialist engineering support involving machining processes and process control for new and existing components.
Key duties:
Updating technical documentation as per Change Requests.
Creating 3-D models via change process
Establishing a clear priority list of changes that align to production output and any new part introduction process
Ensuring the Implementation and validation of a given change request
Identifying areas for improvement in the process for updating technical documentation
Liaising with R&D to determine the need for additional V&V (Verification & Validation) for applicable Change Requests.
Coordinating Production Engineering to review and implement appropriate actions because of Change Requests
What are we looking for?
Key Skills:
HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience in a previous role involving updating drawings via CAD / CAM
SolidWorks Modelling experience.
Experience of Change Management systems
Strong communicator with good interpersonal and analytical skills.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work as part of a team and or independently with minimum support.
Ability to manage changing priorities adapting to multiple projects at the same time.
