Underwriting Administrator / Underwriting Assistant
Underwriting Administrator / Junior Underwriting Assistant - Data Entry, Renewal Submission, Policy Creation, Data Validation, Underwriter Support; MS Office, Word, Excel, Insurance Systems; City of London / Remote Hybrid (2-3 Days Onsite). Temporary Contract, - 3 Months+ c.£135 - £150 p/day (c.£35k - £40k Equivalent) (PAYE / Umbrella).

Global insurance company seeks Underwriting Administrator / Junior Underwriting Assistant to work within their Catastrophe Risk team supporting underwriters in their admin duties.


***NOTE: This vacancy is offered by the IT Recruitment Division of Comtecs and is based within a global Insurance company, with HQ based in the City of London.***


The focus of the role will be data entry surrounding insurance policy renewals for corporate clients and will include handling submission email requests, logging emails, data and attachments on the various applicable insurance systems, creating new policy documents using the automated tools / systems within the department and liaising with the various members of the team(s) at each stage of the renewals process.


As the Underwriting Administrator / Junior Underwriting Assistant you will use Outlook, Word, Excel (basic use), as well as various Insurance systems including Workview to create the new or renewed insurance policies and then file documents in various systems and, at times, within physical filing systems.


This is a junior data entry role for someone who was been working in a similar capacity within the Insurance sector and seeks to gain more experience in the Underwriting arena. You will be an Administrator / Data Entry Clerk / Junior Underwriting Assistant who has gained some exposure, ideally within a similar Policy Renewals team. You will be used to liaising with Underwriters and have an understanding of the natural process of the administration which sits behind insurance policy creation and renewal. Any experience with Workview would be beneficial; experience with Outlook, Word and Excel (basic) essential. You will be reliable, well organised and possess strong communication skills as well as a desire to pursue a career within the insurance industry and gain exposure to CAT risk modelling and related tasks.


This is a Temporary Contract role which can either be undertaken as a temporary PAYE employee of the agency or as an Umbrella Company Worker. You will need to be available immediately or within short-notice and comfortable working 2-3 days per week in the City of London, 2 remotely from home.
