Senior Network Engineer needed for our Banking Client in Glasgow, though the role will require occasional travel to sites across the UK. . The role requires a strong Senior Network Engineer with significant demonstrable Network & Voice experience along with detailed knowledge in TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VPN, Wireless, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and network monitoring tools. Candidates will ideally have Cisco Certified Network Professional Routing and Switching (CCNP Routing & Switching) or equivalent level experience.
Candidates must engage via an FCSA accredited Umbrella Company, the maximum rate is £399 per day to Umbrella, and the role is hybrid with some time from home and some time working/visiting branches and offices to support agreed activities.

You will be part of a team supporting a comprehensive programme in place to reduce / remove legacy / currency debt and consolidate the Banks network and voice platforms. The role holder needs to have a valid driver’s licence and may be required to work at and/or visit the Banks offices and branches, working with the Network Infrastructure and Voice teams to deliver:
Configuration and maintenance of routing, switching and security devices within the enterprise campus and Data Centre environments.
Support the delivery of continual improvement initiatives to demonstrably reduce risk and increase performance, efficiency and productivity.
Lifecycle management for all network devices including upgrades, capacity management and succession planning.
Support delivery of Network/Voice solution design documents.
Technical support for complex problems and sharing of specialist experience.
Using knowledge of network design principles to develop advanced switching and routing, security, Data Centre, architectures with VPN and wireless domains.

Key Skills and Experience
Able to demonstrate significant network and voice experience.
Cisco Certified Network Professional Routing and Switching (CCNP Routing & Switching) or equivalent level of experience.
Experienced with firewalls especially working with Cisco, FortiGate, Juniper or Palo Alto.
Detailed knowledge in TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VPN, Wireless, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and network monitoring tools
Strong technical expertise with Cisco devices, including ACI.
Able to drive with a full UK Driving License
Collaborative team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems and services
Proficient in the use of the MS Office suite (MSP, PowerPoint etc.) and ServiceNow
