Job Description
Head Resourcing are seeking a dynamic Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Specialist to join their financial services client. This role is crucial in ensuring the optimal management of IT assets throughout their lifecycle. As a HAM Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact, leverage your knowledge, and develop your skills in a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the development of integration points, triggers, data capture, and automated workflows for the lifecycle of assets from procurement to disposal.
Perform asset baselining and normalization.
Optimize the configuration and execution of the ServiceNow Asset and HAM PRO modules.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Implement and execute verification processes, stock audits, controls, metrics, KPIs, and reporting solutions to address data accuracy, reconciliation, duplication, and asset coverage challenges.
Implement and execute corrective actions necessary to resolve data integrity issues.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of all processes and procedures.
Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to ensure understanding and compliance with asset management practices.
Act as the primary point of contact for asset management.
Collaborate with all stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure successful delivery of objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Extensive experience in the design, implementation, support, and continual improvement of Asset (HAM) management at scale.
Hands-on experience in ServiceNow, specifically in managing the Asset and/or HAM modules.
Strong understanding of complex enterprise IT technologies, including servers, databases, networks, storage solutions, clusters, and both private and public virtualization.
Familiarity with ITIL principles, with ITIL v4 certification highly preferred but not mandatory.
In-depth understanding of concepts, data modeling, and governance principles to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Strong data analytical abilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving, enabling effective resolution of data-related challenges.
Strong skills in the development, implementation, and execution of dashboards, controls, metrics, KPIs, and reporting (preferably, but not exclusively, in the ServiceNow platform). SharePoint and PowerBI experience would be a strong advantage.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in the financial services sector.
Experience in Configuration Management (CMDB) or Software Asset Management (SAM).

Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
Head Resourcing is pleased to be working with one of the UK's leading retail banks who are looking for an experienced Cloud SRE to join our engineering team and help drive reliability, scalability, and automation across our cloud-based products and services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role is all about embedding SRE best practices, improving platform resilience, and troubleshooting service issues with an engineering-first approach, using code and automation rather than manual work.

Key Skills & Experience:
Background in software engineering or telemetry, ideally with SRE experience.
Hands-on expertise with GCP (or AWS/Azure), including security and networking.
Strong experience managing Kubernetes clusters in a production environment.
Proficiency in Python, Java, Golang, BASH, or PowerShell for scripting and automation.
Understanding of SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs, with experience in monitoring, alerting, and logging.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).
Experience with observability tools like Dynatrace, Stackdriver, Cloud Operations Suite, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging.
Ability to mentor engineers, troubleshoot complex system issues, and improve automation to reduce manual effort.

Job Description
Head Resourcing are recruiting for a Linux engineer for a financial services company. This role is predominantly remote although ideally you will be near one of the hubs in Gosforth or Glasgow for occasional office attendance.

The role pays £39,000 - £49,000 and offers a range of great benefits. The role will require some occasional weekend/evening work where you will receive additional pay on top of the base salary.

The core aspect of your role will be to support the management of the Operational Platform, with a focus on the Linux Server Estate. This will involve collaboration with internal customers, partners and external customers to deliver excellent service and ensure our systems are efficient, performant, resilient where emerging technology threats & risks are managed and change to our systems are managed effectively.

The role involves:
Innovating, supporting and maintaining the companies Linux server estate for Operational Platform.
Supporting the management of Patching lifecycles, including scheduling, deployment & verification.
Engineering, validating, implementing and quality assuring technical solutions.
Supporting projects implementing new infrastructure into the datacentres.
Supporting root cause analysis and remediation of issues.
Working closely with others to estimate work, manage domain scope, risks and issues.
Collaborating with project teams to ensure that change within the environment is managed and controlled effectively.

Experience required:
Strong sys admin skills and engineering experience of Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Satellite (install, Configure, manage)
Experience of server implementation, upgrades, maintenance, monitoring and automation (Infrastructure as Code) with Ansible, AAP
VMware (upgrade, manage)
Understanding of Networking Technologies
