Location: UK - Fully Remote
Salary/Rate: Up to £483 a day Inside IR35

Job Type: 6 Month Contract (With scope to extend)

Company Introduction

We are looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to join our client who is a Global Professional Services organization.

*Candidates applying must hold active SC Clearance*

You will focus on provisioning and managing system administration and deploying and maintaining the Servers that host applications. In addition, ensuring that the foundations of the platform are scripted in order to maintain storage and network resources like physical servers, storage devices, switches, and virtualization software.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

You will be responsible for leading the integration of security practices throughout the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), working closely with development and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain secure infrastructure and pipelines, while ensuring compliance with security regulations and best practices, often acting as a security subject matter expert within the organization.
Have experience of architecting, designing and implementing security controls into an Azure Platform
Responsible for implementing and coding secure CI/CD pipelines, incorporating security checks like code scanning, vulnerability analysis, and compliance checks at every stage of the development process.
Ensure adherence to relevant security regulations and industry standards (eg, PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR) by monitoring compliance status and implementing necessary controls.
Expertise in secure coding practices, authentication, authorization, cryptography, network security, and vulnerability management.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), infrastructure as code (IaC) technologies (Terraform, CloudFormation), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency in Scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell) for automation and development of security tools.
Experience with vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys), static code analyzers (Fortify, SonarQube), and penetration testing methodologies.
Ability to effectively communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong ability to work collaboratively with development, operations, and security teams to achieve shared goals
