Lead DevOps Engineer - Manchester - £85,000 to £90,000 + bonus
The Company:
Lorien Global are working in partnership with a major gambling business based in Manchester City Centre are backed with the investment to drive innovative, advanced, creative technologies forward and build unrivalled products. We need an experience leader in the platform engineering sphere to aid with projects, support and management of the engineering team.
The Role:
Your responsibility covers Engineering, Management and Strategy, focussing on the upkeep and improvement of their hybrid cloud and on-premise platform. This is a business critical team, with the live 24/7, revenue generating platform it's essential that efficiency, stability and security are at the core of designs.
Working closely with the Head of Platform Engineering, you'll lead a portion of the overall team delegating, mentoring and guiding those who need support. This role is a mix of hands-on and strategic decision making, giving you opportunity to stay in tune with the technology.
The Skill Requirements:
Candidates must have a blend of the following:
Proven experience leading a high-performing platform teams to deliver complex platform improvements in a fast-paced, live environment
Good understanding of Cloud Platforms preferably AWS but can consider others (GCP, Azure etc.)
Excellent understanding of CI/CD tooling and best practise (Jenkins)
Good knowledge of infrastructure management systems (Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
Experience with containerisation technology (Docker, Helm, Kubernetes)
Familiarity of scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.)
Excellent communication between both internal and external stakeholders
