Role Description
The Product Manager is responsible for managing the products tailored to this specific customer segment. This role involves working closely with customers, gathering and prioritizing requirements, and ensuring that the product offerings meet their needs and drive business growth. They will also enjoy spending time in the market to understand its challenges and find innovative solutions.
Communication and Engagement skills are key to success in this role. The Product Manager will be prepared to communicate and engage with all areas of the company, as well as our key external stakeholders to translate the company’s high-level vision and goals into actionable tasks.
Responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement: Working closely with our customers and internal teams to deliver on our product vision and strategy across our product areas
Design Alignment: Define new products and features with a range of complementary materials like written specs and requirements, user stories, wireframes, and product flows. Be able to explain both the 'why' and the 'how'.
Customer/ Market Knowledge: Conduct market analysis to stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscape.
Customer Engagement: Regularly interact with customers to gather feedback and ensure their needs are met, be their advocate so we stay focused on building user-focused, high-quality products.
Business Proposals: Support business proposals as needed for continued investment into our product roadmap and create user stories for current and future products based on the market’s challenges.
Roadmap Development: Contribute to the product roadmap, ensuring it reflects the priorities and needs of their customers.
Product launches: Plan product launches in co-ordination with marketing, including developing go-to-market strategies.
Key Attributes
5+ years of product management or product owner experience.
Tech savvy and passionate about building products.
Ability to balance delivering immediate priorities, while planning and iterating to a longer-term vision to deliver an amazing user experience.
Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making.
Track record of successfully launching and growing software products and services, and building long-term customer value.
Proficient in applications and tools such as Microsoft Office and Azure DevOps and HubSpot.
A self-starter attitude with experience with best practice agile scrum development and lean start-up principles.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with public speaking experience.
Excellent collaboration skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties.
Understanding of the Insurance Market and Products.
