The Role
Client Engagement: Collaborate with private equity clients to understand business objectives, challenges, and technical requirements, translating them into actionable solutions
Solution Design: Develop scalable, secure, and cost-effective architectural blueprints aligned with client goals and industry best practices
Technology Assessment: Evaluate and recommend technology platforms, tools, and vendors to meet client needs
Implementation Oversight: Guide development teams and vendors, ensuring successful implementation and alignment with the architectural vision
System Integration: Design and oversee the integration of systems across portfolio companies, ensuring seamless data flow and compliance
Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance IT infrastructure, improve efficiency, and ensure scalability and reliability
Risk and Compliance: Mitigate risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and develop disaster recovery strategies
Stakeholder Communication: Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, presenting solutions and progress to senior executives
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, drive innovation, and recommend iterative enhancements to existing solutions
Collaboration with Portfolio Companies: Align IT strategies with private equity goals, providing guidance on IT investments and digital transformation initiatives
Requirements
Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role, with expertise in designing and implementing complex systems
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native architecture principles
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, or similar
Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, APIs, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Excellent understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess trade-offs in technology decisions
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Architect are a plus
