Sapiens UK is seeking a Project Delivery Manager with expertise in Agile delivery within a global software development environment, ideally with experience in the general insurance, property & casualty, life, pensions, and annuities sectors.

Our ideal candidate will enjoy travel as part of their role, and will have experience of implementing complex/enterprise solutions.

Working model: Cardiff as a base, following a hybrid (flexible) working model, with expected international travel.
Please note that we are not offering Visa or Relocation support for this role.

What you’ll do:
Deliver software solutions on time, within scope, on budget, and with exceptional quality, leveraging Agile methodologies to meet customer satisfaction as outlined in the SOW.
Oversee and actively participate in release and environment deployment processes.
Manage tight timelines, ensuring team motivation to meet and exceed project deadlines.
Lead the full project lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and integration.
Handle project scheduling, resource planning, budget tracking, and time management.
Collaborate closely with customers and project teams to define requirements, identify gaps, and translate them into actionable user stories.
Simultaneously manage multiple projects, facilitate status meetings, and confidently present to diverse audiences.
Proactively identify challenges, mediate conflicts, propose solutions, and drive implementation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring a smooth and customer-centric delivery process.
Provide leadership in a global setting, directly managing Team Leaders and matrix-managing multidisciplinary delivery teams.

What to Have for this position:
5+ years of proven experience in large-scale software development with global delivery teams in a matrix management structure.
Demonstrated success working with international customers.
Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from project planning to execution.
Solid knowledge of software architecture principles.
Strong negotiation skills with experience in scope and delivery schedule discussions with customers.
Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
Hands-on experience in enterprise-scale software implementations.
Familiarity with Cloud Platforms and Information Security.
Advantage: Digital knowledge and experience in the insurance/financial services domain.
Proficiency in both Agile and Waterfall delivery models, with hands-on experience using JIRA.
Outstanding communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
Willingness to travel internationally.
