The main function of the Data Scientist is to produce innovative solutions driven by exploratory data analysis from complex and high-dimensional datasets.

Job Responsibilities:

• Apply knowledge of statistics, machine learning, programming, data modeling, simulation, and advanced mathematics to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions, and make valuable discoveries leading to prototype development and product improvement.
• Use a flexible, analytical approach to design, develop, and evaluate predictive models and advanced algorithms that lead to optimal value extraction from the data.
• Generate and test hypotheses and analyze and interpret the results of product experiments.
• Work with product engineers to translate prototypes into new products, services, and features and provide guidelines for large-scale implementation.
• Provide Business Intelligence (BI) and data visualization support, which includes, but limited to support for the online customer service dashboards and other ad-hoc requests requiring data analysis and visual support.

Skills:

• Experienced in either programming languages such as Python and/or R, big data tools such as Hadoop, or data visualization tools such as Tableau.
• The ability to communicate effectively in writing, including conveying complex information and promoting in-depth engagement on course topics.
• Experience working with large datasets.

Education/Experience:

• Master of Science degree in computer science or in a relevant field.

Our client is a Top 20 law firm, who are currently looking to bring on a Data Conversion/Data Migration Lead for a Global Data project. Project: EMEA PMS/ERP Migration Responsibilities: Oversee the data conversion process, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Manage data validation practices to minimize errors. Lead data cleanup efforts to reduce data errors. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth data transitions. Conduct requirements gathering, design sessions, and technical reviews with stakeholders. Produce written deliverables, including requirement specifications and support documentation. Manage 3rd party partners Manage a small team Key Skills & Requirements: Strong technical expertise in data conversion and validation. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience in conducting requirements gathering and design sessions. Ability to produce clear and concise documentation. Extensive experience in data conversion and migration, particularly involving SQL databases. Proficiency in SQL database management systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, as well as data migration tools like Visual Studio and SSIS. Strong leadership skills, including the ability to work in a global, matrixed environment and assess current processes to implement improvements as needed. Hands-on experience in developing and supporting legacy system data conversion projects. Experience working with databases and tools capable of data cleansing and deduplication. This is a initial 6 month contract, Paying a competitive day rate inside IR35. **Please note this is a hybrid opportunity with the expectations of being in the London Office at least 3 days a week to start**
