Our Financial Services client is looking for a highly skilled MSW Principle Engineer to join their London based team for a 8 months initial contract.
THIS ROLE SITS INSIDE IR35
We are looking for a highly skilled Principle Engineer to join our team. The Engineer will work with our teams helping shape and design our software delivery pipelines and building repeatable application patterns.
The role of the engineer will be to work alongside our engineering feature teams on solutions which provide and maintain the right developer experience. The engineer will be responsible working alongside our engineering teams creating and developing the experience that helps reduce the toil and constraints that engineers have getting up and running doing development.
We are building a team of engineers that can create an experience inside Financial bank company for developers to consume scalable, reusableand well documented application patterns for development that empowers teams to be able to build high quality software with speed, consistency, secure and confidence to deliver through to production
Microservice Architecture - Understanding the complexity of developing microservices in a cloud environment and the complexities around App2App Security as well as Encryption as a Service.
Understanding the cloud architecture for implementing and integrating with cloud services such as EKS form the development pipeline.
Share knowledge of tools and techniques with colleagues, including non-technical personnel
Both lead and contribute to storyboarding and brainstorming exercises, and run scoping and design meetings or conference calls with clients
Perform requirements analysis for the business
Produce software technical documentation and oversee the quality of that produced by others in the team
Validate/QA technical solutions before handing over to client, including production of test plans and guidance to other departments on test methodologies
Support colleagues in business development activities, including proposal writing, estimating and client presentations.
Help maintain the quality system for the Digital Team including Software Development
Processes and Standard Operating Procedures
Responsible for the overall operational stability of DES Platform environments in their SME area
Ensure all process are followed and documented in accordance with required standards, methods and procedures.
Selects appropriately from applicable standards, methods, tools and applications and use accordingly.
Demonstrates analytical and systematic approach to problem solving.
Is able to plan, schedule and monitor work activities in order to meet time and quality targets.
Is able to absorb rapidly new technical information, business acumen, and apply it effectively.
Experienced in the technical implementation of key business applications through Test and into Live Service.
Significant experience of different delivery methodologies (waterfall, agile/SaFE/LeSS/kanban/xp)
