PMO Manager Responsibilities:
Oversee the strategic planning, implementation, and tracking of public sector projects.
Lead and mentor project managers, ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.
Develop and maintain project management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on project performance, risks, and issues.
Manage stakeholder relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
Ensure the integration of governance, quality control, and risk management into all project phases.
Contribute to the development of long-term project strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
PMO Manager Requirements:
Proven experience as a PMO Manager or in a similar project management leadership role, preferably within the public sector.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, PRINCE2, MSP, etc.).
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
In-depth knowledge of project governance, budgeting, and risk management practices.
Proficient in project management software and tools (eg, MS Project, JIRA, etc.).
Relevant professional qualifications (eg, PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner) are desirable.
