A Software Tester sought for an established developer and manufacturer of medical devices, based in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to be involved with the development of high-value, groundbreaking technology and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Working with the software development team
Execute test protocols of new and existing software products
Executing structured test plans and documenting results
Working with various departments on the planning of projects – Identifying business requirements
Maintain and manage test reports and documents
Troubleshooting and problem solving
Other business responsibilities where necessary – e.g. supporting other product testing


Requirements:

Experience with code writing or software testing
Experience within an engineering environment is desirable but not essential
Strong attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Problem-solving skills
A passion for working with technology

The Role As an QSHE (Safety, Health and Environmental) Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting Dalkia UK with the effective and efficient utilisation of data across the QSHE team and wider organisation, including data gathering, processing, reporting and analytics to identify trends, reduce risks, and improve overall QSHE performance. Your role will also involve collaborating with various QSHE teams to ensure data accuracy, preparing Power point presentations, and contributing to the development of strategic safety initiatives. This will be a 12 month maternity cover. Your main responsibilities on a day to day basis will be:- Data Management & Reporting: Collect, clean, and manage QSHE-related data from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Produce periodic performance reports against leading and lagging measures. Analyse incident trends and highlight them to the Group QSHE Director and Strategic Project Lead. Work with internal stakeholders and engage third party consultants to deliver statutory environmental and sustainability reporting requirements (ESOS, SECR, CSR etc.) Systems and Governance: Assume Superuser status for digital solutions (e.g. Reporting System) and provide support to users across the group. Use predictive analytics to forecast potential risks and help develop proactive measures to mitigate safety issues. Manage shared third party QSHE certifications where requested. Develop, maintain and update QSHE intranet pages. Collaboration & Support: Work closely with the QSHE leadership, divisional teams, and relevant stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives. Support any in-house QSHE training delivery activities to meet continuous improvement objectives. Develop and maintain central resources such as campaigns, Tool Box Talks, training packs and event briefs to enable learning and development conversations. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of QSHE data management processes and reporting mechanisms. Continuously improve and evolve the dashboards and data models to better serve the needs of the QSHE function within the organisation. To be successful in this role you will need:- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree within Data or Business Analytics or a related field (desirable) Relevant Experience: Experience in data modelling and analytics. Working in a large organisation in a Group function which services multiple companies or stakeholders. Experience developing and managing dashboards. Experience working with large datasets and applying predictive analytics techniques to inform decision-making. Knowledge & Skills: Advanced skillset using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point and other data visualisation tools. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and create actionable insights. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with QSHE regulations, standards, and best practices is a plus. Personal Characteristics & Behaviours: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
