As a Sales Engineer, you will be one of the most important members of the Dataminr Public Sector sales team, serving as a trusted advisor to Account Executives, the Product team and our current and future customers across Europe. A security-focused technical liaison and subject matter expert on all things Dataminr, you will get to develop and share compelling stories that will excite your customers and have them eager to hear more. This role is fully remote with up to 30% travel.

The opportunity

Solution Design: Collaborate with clients to assess their cybersecurity needs and design solutions that integrate our data with various SIEM, SOAR, or TIP platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Google SecOps, Cortex XSOAR, Swimlane, Anomali, ThreatConnect, ThreatQ)
Solution Design: Collaborate with clients and partners to assess their physical security needs and design solutions that integrate our data with various customer platforms
Technical Demonstrations: Conduct in-depth live, recorded, and in-person product demonstrations showcasing how our solutions leverage public data to enhance detection, response, and mitigation efforts. Attend trade shows/conferences and sales meetings as required
Proof of Concepts: Lead customer proof of concept (POC) efforts, ensuring customers recognize and experience the full business impact of Dataminr products
Training & Enablement: Provide training sessions for sales staff and clients, focusing on best practices, operational workflows, and maximizing the use of various platforms
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the product team to relay customer feedback, identify feature gaps, and contribute to the development of new functionalities that enhance integration and user experience
Mentoring new team members in multiple areas including sales process, and relationship management with both customers and our internal sales organization



What You Bring

6+ years of hands-on technical experience, either as a Sales/Solutions/Systems Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Security Engineer or senior level product support in the technology industry
History of conducting customer product assessments and/or evaluations, including managing expectations, deliverables, and complex systems as well as the teams that support them
Experience in data integration implementation and the ability to advise on integrated solutions with third party products
Experience in Enterprise or Cloud Security, including cloud/SaaS platforms, data/information protection, network, endpoint, NOC/SOC, GIS, or MSP-related cybersecurity desired
Comfortable presenting to individuals and/or teams including technical staff through C-suite
Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, and SANS, a plus
