Mission

As a FinOps Strategic Lead at Devoteam, you will drive the strategic vision for financial optimization and cloud cost management across our clients. Collaborating with the FinOps tribe, including the Tribe Lead, Program Manager, and Pillar Champions, you will define and execute high-level FinOps strategies, ensuring alignment with clients’ financial goals and cloud strategies. Your mission will also include leading pre-sales efforts, enhancing FinOps maturity, and developing scalable frameworks for cost-effective cloud environments, while maintaining handson involvement to bridge strategy with execution. Responsibilities
Strategic Oversight: Define and execute FinOps strategies that align with client goals and business outcomes.
Pre-Sales Leadership: Lead pre-sales engagements, develop proposals, and build tailored solutions for national and international clients.
Collaboration: Act as a bridge between the FinOps tribe and cloud pillars (AWS, Azure, GCP), ensuring alignment and communication across teams.
Governance and Framework Development: Establish governance frameworks, KPIs, and best practices to enhance FinOps maturity across clients.
Hands-On Involvement: Stay actively involved in implementing FinOps solutions, including tool configuration, process optimization, and hands-on cost management tasks.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, ensuring strong relationships and clear communication.
Training and Enablement: Mentor and guide the FinOps team, including Program Managers and Pillar Champions, on best practices and strategic alignment.
Knowledge Sharing: Lead the creation of knowledge bases, playbooks, and case studies to scale FinOps expertise across Devoteam.
Performance Metrics: Define and track high-level KPIs to evaluate the success of FinOps initiatives and provide actionable insights.


Qualifications

Profile
FinOps Expertise: In-depth understanding of the FinOps Framework and its strategic application. FinOps Practitioner certification mandatory..
Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop long-term strategies and drive alignment between cloud financial management and business objectives.
Leadership Skills: Strong experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex client engagements.
Cloud and Datacenter Architecture: Experience with datacenter and cloud infrastructure architecture, including cost management, optimization, and resource planning.
Technical Expertise: Familiarity with third-party FinOps tools, automation frameworks, and native cloud cost management tools (AWS, Azure, GCP). Certifications in cloud platforms are a strong plus.
Hands-On Approach: Ability to stay involved in technical implementation and act as a subject-matter expert in FinOps tools and practices.
Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior decision-makers.


Experience
Cloud Financial Leadership: At least 3 years of experience in cloud financial management, strategic consulting, or a related field.
Global Engagement: Experience in working with national and international clients or large-scale cloud environments.


Reporting Line: This role reports directly to the FinOps Tribe Lead and works in close alignment with Pillar Champions.
