Senior Infrastructure Engineer | Newry | Full-Time Permanent

Peaple Talent have partnered with a well-known client looking to recruit a Senior Infrastructure Engineer on a full-time permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar Infrastructure role, with a strong background in cyber security systems delivery and operations. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for managing and optimizing IT infrastructure, ensuring robust security measures, and working with a variety of cloud and on-premise technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions that support our client’s IT needs and business objectives.
Maintain and enhance documentation for all infrastructure processes, configurations, and procedures.
Manage cyber security systems, including EDR, SIEM, patching, email security, web proxies, and firewalls to ensure the security and integrity of infrastructure.
Collaborate with other departments to assess and implement new technologies that enhance infrastructure performance and security.
Administer IAAS, PAAS, and SAAS platforms with a focus on Microsoft cloud solutions.
Ensure all systems are properly patched and compliant with internal and external security standards.
Support and optimize Microsoft Server OS environments, specifically Windows 2012, 2016 and 2019.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior infrastructure engineers and other team members.

Key Experience Required:

Previous experience in a similar infrastructure role.
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Strong experience with cyber security systems, including; Endpoint Detection and Response, SIEM, Patching management, Email security, Web proxies and firewalls.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Proven experience working with IAAS, PAAS, and SAAS platforms.
Microsoft certification in relevant areas is a strong plus.
Microsoft Cloud certifications, particularly in Cloud Engineering and Azure, would be highly advantageous.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Server Operating Systems (Windows 2012, 2016, 2019)
Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure and M365 (desirable).
Additional certifications in cyber security or cloud platforms (desirable).
Experience working in an enterprise-level infrastructure environment (desirable).
