Senior Systems Engineer – Automation, Linux & Networking
Hybrid – Glasgow 3 days in office / 2 days at home
Salary £55,000 - £65,000
We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our FinTech client. If you have expertise in Linux administration, automation, and networking, this role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain, optimise, and automate infrastructure operations.
Troubleshoot software, hardware, and networking issues.
Develop and manage automation with Ansible, Packer, and Terraform.
Work closely with System Admin, Security, and Ops teams.
Research and implement new technologies for system improvements.
What We're Looking For:
5+ years of Linux System Administration experience.
Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, Firewalls).
Expertise in automation and scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
Experience with LDAP, AD, Git, and on-prem server deployment.
Bonus Skills:
Windows administration, monitoring tools, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
