This role requires DV clearance. This must be already held and active - we are unable to consider any candidates who do not hold this level of vetting currently - please do not apply if you do not have this clearance.
Hybrid working - 3 days a week onsite, either in London or Birmingham. The role holder may be required to travel to sites around the UK as appropriate.
The purpose of the role is to provide Enterprise design and support expertise for a range of ICT Projects and the overall CTP Architecture.
This role is vital to ensure the CTP infrastructure, systems and services are built, designed and architected to ensure that they are secure and efficient in use.
Key Responsibilities:
Document current As-Is and future To-Be designs for projects.
Design solutions.
Create Architecture diagrams and data sets to help communicate the changes occurring across CTP.
Identify technical experiments to validate design decisions.
Work across projects and with other architects to ensure that all systems align to the Strategic vision and any technical debt identified.
Ensure that any architectural dependencies between projects are understood, documented and accepted.
Qualifications: Preferred TOGAF qualified.
Preferred ITIL V3 or V4 Foundation certified.
Skills & Experience: Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
Experience and knowledge of the Government Security Classifications levels and an understanding of the Cabinet Office Security Policy Framework.
Experience of designing system via Architectural Frameworks especially TOGAF.
Understanding of ITIL and Agile methodologies.
Experience in writing Design Documentation suitable for accreditation at up to IL5.
Experience of working with Accreditor to ensure the design meets the needs of the security standards being applied for IL5.
Able to demonstrate Expert knowledge in the design and build of resilient designs.
Expertise of designing solutions hosted on AWS including their Well Architected Framework and Landing Zones (experience of PALZ is a bonus).
Expertise of designing and working with AzureAD and Office 365 Services.
Expertise of designing a Linux environment within a larger Windows environment.
Expertise of VMware Virtualisation.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (eg G Suite).
Technical Skills: Windows Server.
Microsoft SQL server.
Active Directory.
GPO.
High Availability services.
Windows desktop/VDI.
Certificates and PKI design.
RSA Tokens.
.NET (VB, C#, ASP.NET, .NET CORE).
MVC Framework.
Python.
JavaScript (REACT, Bootstrap Frameworks).
Database design.
SQL/SQL Server.
NoSQL technologies eg MongoDB, Hadoop, etc.
Full UK driving licence required for this role
If you are successful in securing this role, please note that for the entire duration of this contract, regardless of extension, you will be working at the PAYE rate that has been advertised. For absolute clarity, we only work on a PAYE basis, rather than umbrella pay terms. We do not offer Ltd/umbrella or outside IR35 rates.
