Senior Python Engineer is required for a specialist global cross-asset manager across liability driven investment, fixed income, multi-asset and absolute return strategies. With an internal trading team the firm offers a broad range of Fixed Income products to their end clients.
As they embark on a transformative journey to revamp their systems, they're seeking a strong Senior Python Engineer, to shape the future of their trading platforms.
This Senior Python Engineer will, via technology, help to enable growth whilst automating and improving reporting & complex calculations across areas including Market Risk, Clearing Risk, Counterparty Risk and Operational Risk.
The Software Developer role focuses on streamlining data into a centralised management system to enhance process automation and develop user-friendly interfaces and visualisation tools for Business Intelligence.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing the internal Risk Portal by transitioning legacy in-house and acquired systems into a modernised user platform.
Expanding Python capabilities and contributing to the development of Market Risk Limits and Potential Future Exposure (PFE) engines.
Enhance the Risk Portal platform by integrating legacy systems (e.g., Error Reporting and Counterparty Limits Approvals).
Support the Lead Risk Python Developer in designing and improving the trading systems.
Assist the Lead Risk Python Developer in building and refining the improving the trading systems.
Optimise metrics and KPIs to maximise the value derived from data assets.
This Senior Python Engineer role is a 6 month rolling contract. Multi year renewal
Rate on this Senior Python Engineer role is paying up to £650 per day, Inside IR35
Hybrid working: 2 days – City of London
Python, Azure, NoSQL, K8, Front-Office Trading
Essential Skills:
Extensive Python experience
Experience with Azure services
Experience with NoSQL Databases (MongoDB, CosmosDB etc)
Experience with Kubernetes
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure.
