Reporting to the Signalling Testing Manager, the work is mainly site based on projects and as such there may be a requirement to lodge away for extended periods of time and to work unsocial hours. You must hold a full UK driving Licence.
Your Purpose
Must Hold NR CofC and Must Hold IRSE License- Tester in Charge and Functional Tester IRSE License 1.3.190 / 1.3.170 or have held in the past few years.
Take overall responsibility for the testing and commissioning of new and altered signalling systems for Complex Works Testing of Signalling projects. Undertake testing duties within the scope of Certificate of Competency held.
Undertake Work Package Management responsibilities on Projects. Identify resource requirements for your projects and competent staff are utilized, ensuring they are briefed regarding their work and responsibilities and that any necessary documentation is completed.
Encourage and promote the advancement of staff as a route to self-development. Deputies for the Testing & Commissioning Engineer.
Upward briefing of project testing status to T&CE and Project team as required. Ensure Audits and surveillances are undertaken in accordance with the Project Quality plan.
Manage effective utilization and allocation of project-based testing resources both internal and subcontracted.
Prepare and check bids for accuracy and price for the testing portion of signalling projects. Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures, and innovations and initiatives.
What You Can Bring
Experience in Railway Signalling Testing & Commissioning of Projects of Simple and Complex size. NR Complex Works TIC certification, and Tester in Charge and Functional Tester IRSE License. Appreciation and awareness of principles and systems testing requirements.
Substantial Railway Signalling experience especially in management of signalling testing. Good knowledge of Railway Group and NR company standards requirements.
Good personnel management and communication skills. Able to work under pressure during intense periods of commissioning etc.
Willing to work flexibly and efficiently in support of the project. Able to contribute to the management team to provide the development and future direction for the testing group.

Our Transportation business has a great opportunity for a Management Accountant to work across our Markets. The Management Accountant will support the Market Finance Teams and will assist in preparing the monthly management accounts, support the project review process and provide wider financial support, analysis and advice.
Qualifications
Studying towards professional accountancy qualifications (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of Monthly Management Accounts, Annual Budgets and Quarterly.
Forecasting, along with commentaries & associated reporting.
Help to coordinate & support both our internal & external audits.
Financial support and advice to the bidding process.
Compliance in connection across a wide range of requirements including Group procedures, Government contracts and statutory accounts.
Enable the business to make better decisions with reliable data.
Understand, monitor & communicate reasons for key variances in monthly accounts / project performance to wider finance team and market operational teams.
Liaison with project managers, project accountants and the market team.
Undertake monthly project reviews with the project management community.
Support the Market Finance Business Partners and Transportation FD on ad-hoc initiatives and analysis.

Role
We are looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join our team based in either our Warrington or Westlakes office, delivering projects as part of one of our existing Joint Ventures to our key client. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to lead the successful delivery of a portfolio of projects, influence the growth and development of the project management team and progress in their career.
You will also be responsible for the bidding and delivery of our projects to time, cost, and quality throughout their project lifecycle, from tender to closeout.
Responsibilities
Provide high quality project and programme management standards.
Advise your client at any time on the project cost, programme, risks, and issues.
Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary professional team.
Lead communications and relationships with your client and their stakeholders.
Produce monthly reports including project programmes, risk registers etc.
Implement effective and efficient communication tools.
Positively influence the internal team and seek to add value.
Manage key client relationships.
Assist to generate repeat business and develop new business opportunities.
Qualifications
Degree qualified (degree or HNC in a relevant Engineering Discipline preferable).
Experience And Skills
Significant experience of Project Manager roles on large scale multidisciplinary projects.
Ability to work constructively and collaboratively with clients so that Atkins’ commercial objectives are protected and met.
Experience of working in the nuclear industry.
Experience of the management of a project portfolio.
Good understanding of Design procedures, change control, checking and Review requirements.
Experience of leading large multidisciplinary teams.
