Background
Our Transportation business has a great opportunity for a Management Accountant to work across our Markets. The Management Accountant will support the Market Finance Teams and will assist in preparing the monthly management accounts, support the project review process and provide wider financial support, analysis and advice.
Qualifications
Studying towards professional accountancy qualifications (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of Monthly Management Accounts, Annual Budgets and Quarterly.
Forecasting, along with commentaries & associated reporting.
Help to coordinate & support both our internal & external audits.
Financial support and advice to the bidding process.
Compliance in connection across a wide range of requirements including Group procedures, Government contracts and statutory accounts.
Enable the business to make better decisions with reliable data.
Understand, monitor & communicate reasons for key variances in monthly accounts / project performance to wider finance team and market operational teams.
Liaison with project managers, project accountants and the market team.
Undertake monthly project reviews with the project management community.
Support the Market Finance Business Partners and Transportation FD on ad-hoc initiatives and analysis.
