Architecture & Implementation: Design and manage scalable, secure cloud infrastructure on GCP, migrating Legacy systems and modernising applications.
BigQuery Integration: Architect data integration with BigQuery to enable Real Time analytics for business decisions.
CI/CD Management: Oversee CI/CD pipelines for efficient app development, deployment, and integration.
Cost Optimisation: Implement strategies to minimize cloud costs while maintaining performance.
Security & Compliance: Define cloud security policies, ensure compliance, and mitigate risks.
Team Leadership: Build and lead a top-tier engineering team, fostering innovation.
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless cloud integration across platforms.
THE CLOUD ARCHITECT - ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
5+ years in cloud computing, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud architectures at scale, with a strong understanding of GCP services, including compute, storage, networking, and security
Nice to have Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Java, Python, with experience in building cloud-native applications
Strong expertise in cloud data management, including databases, ETL pipelines, and cloud storage solutions
Deep knowledge of cloud security practices, governance, and compliance
Demonstrated leadership experience with 3+ years managing technical teams, ensuring the delivery of large-scale cloud projects
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
Familiarity with cloud cost management strategies and tools

This is a role where you will work on one of our latest projects that is using the latest event driven AWS technologies. As a Senior Cloud Developer/Engineer, you will work to deliver changes on an AWS Cloud platform that includes AWS Athena/S3, DevOps tools such as AWS CDK, Docker, Python Back End, Lambda functions and cloud tools like CloudWatch. The role will require experience of both delivering functional application code/changes and the promotion of changes to production environments. Key Requirements Work closely with a Customer Team to determine the impacts of the changes that are being requested Work alongside our Exception Account and Technical functions to support customer engagements Develop and change Back End Python and SQL functions to comply to Customer Requirements.
