Exception is currently looking to hire a Cloud Developer Engineer to join our team on a contract basis (3 months initially). This is a role where you will work on one of our latest projects that is using the latest event driven AWS technologies.
As a Senior Cloud Developer/Engineer, you will work to deliver changes on an AWS Cloud platform that includes AWS Athena/S3, DevOps tools such as AWS CDK, Docker, Python Back End, Lambda functions and cloud tools like CloudWatch. The role will require experience of both delivering functional application code/changes and the promotion of changes to production environments.
Key Requirements
Work closely with a Customer Team to determine the impacts of the changes that are being requested
Work alongside our Exception Account and Technical functions to support customer engagements
Develop and change Back End Python and SQL functions to comply to Customer Requirements.
Experience/expertise of AWS Platforms that include SQL and NoSQL platforms such as AWS Athena, DynamoDB, Glue, that incorporate data formats such as JSON, Parquet, CSV
Experience of developing solutions as code and IaC from technical specifications to the required standard and support other develops to produce IaC
Managing the build, test and release of software through CI/CD based on Github repositories to promote releases through dev, test and production environments.
We run a "you build it, you own it" model, so high quality and fault-tolerant designs are paramount.
Desirable
Preferably be AWS certified or be close to certification to Pro or Specialist.
Support analysis of costs and looking for ways to improve customer environments.
Experience in monitoring AWS environments through AWS Cloudtrail/Cloudwatch
Experience in the AWS access eg IAM, Cognito.
Excellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills
