Infrastructure Manager
Are you an experienced IT professional looking to join a close-knit business where your technical skills and leadership can truly make an impact? We're looking for a dynamic Infrastructure Manager to oversee and optimize the internal infrastructure while leading a small but dedicated team.
This may be an ideal position for a strong leading techie looking to step into more of a senior position.
What You'll Do:
Manage and maintain the company's internal Servers, networking, and communications systems across departments. Datacentre focus !
Oversee company data centers and ensure the optimal functioning of rack systems.
Provide hands-on support, troubleshooting, and resolution of system issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Take charge of the company's phone system, ensuring seamless communication.
Provide 24x7 cover for critical company systems, ensuring constant availability and rapid resolution of any issues.
Lead and manage the small IS department and staff,
Investigate, report, and propose improvements to company infrastructure, guiding its future direction and helping it scale effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide consistent support and investigation into both internal systems and company products.
Continuously review and enhance support practices to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Oversee departmental reporting, ensuring accurate documentation of support status and performance.
Manage customer relationships and expectations, providing timely resolutions and maintaining high service standards.

A strategic thinker with the ability to drive infrastructure improvements and develop long-term IT strategies.
A hands-on IT professional with experience in server management, networking, data centers, and communications systems.
An effective leader with experience managing small teams and ensuring they are equipped and motivated to provide top-notch support.
Able to maintain a calm, focused approach while providing 24x7 support coverage.
Required Technical Skills and Experience:
Cisco Expertise: Hands-on experience or training with Firewalls, Switches, and Routers.
Windows Server: Strong understanding and practical knowledge.
Networking Fundamentals: Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
Web Hosting: Experience with Microsoft IIS.
SQL Server Administration: Proficiency in database backups, running scripts, and scheduling jobs.
Virtualization: Knowledge of Hyper-V.
Active Directory: Expertise in group policy management.
High Availability Solutions: Experience with failover clustering and replication technologies.
Backup Management: Proficient in managing and maintaining backup systems.
Scripting and Automation: Knowledge of PowerShell and Scripting languages.
Cloud Platforms: Experience with Azure and/or AWS.
