£525 - £625 per day (Inside IR35)
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Engineer to manage, maintain, and enhance Microsoft 365 technologies across a large-scale enterprise environment. The successful candidate will ensure optimal service delivery, value for money, and robust security for M365 services while providing expert support and implementing new features and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the ICT Service Delivery team to build modern, scalable, and secure IT systems.
Manage, maintain, and optimize M365 technologies including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related products.
Ensure high availability, performance, and security of M365 services.
Promote and advocate for the internal M365 toolset, ensuring full utilization to drive efficiency and cost savings.
Liaise with users, architects, and business areas to develop solutions and leverage M365 features for operational benefits.
Stay updated on new Microsoft features/releases and share relevant insights with business areas.
Monitor, manage, and maintain M365 services such as Entra ID, Exchange (Online/On-Prem), Teams, SharePoint, and Intune.
Investigate and resolve service faults, ensuring performance and security.
Apply updates, patches, and feature releases to M365 services while documenting best practices.
Lead technical innovation and recommend system improvements.
Essential Experience & Skills
Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 technologies, including Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, and Azure Services.
In-depth experience with Exchange Online, on-premises Exchange, and hybrid environments.
Knowledge of enterprise mobility and security (Intune MDM & MAM, Entra ID, Identity, Threat Protection).
Expertise in Teams governance, voice, and video services.
Active Directory/Entra ID management.
Proficiency in Microsoft licensing management and Azure subscriptions.
Experience with PowerShell Scripting and automating workflows using Power Automate.
Proven ability to translate business requirements into actionable technical milestones.
Strong technical documentation skills.
Demonstrated experience leading M365 implementation projects in large enterprise environments.
Desirable Skills & Experience
Relevant certifications in Microsoft 365 (eg, MS-102).
Higher education qualifications in IT-related areas.
Network security certifications.
Familiarity with government/public sector IT legislation.
