Robert Half is seeking a skilled Azure DevOps engineer for a London-based medical insurance organisation. This is an initial 6 month contract with the potential to extend.
Role:
This role is responsible for maintaining and developing CI/CD pipelines, ensuring code quality, and promoting Agile and DevOps best practices across engineering teams.
The Azure DevOps Engineer will have hands-on experience with the following:
Azure DevOps, .NET/C#, and cloud-native development, working closely with both technical teams and stakeholders to achieve efficient, secure, and scalable solutions.
CI/CD Pipeline Management: Maintain and improve Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines; build new pipelines in line with Engineering and Architecture standards.
Collaboration & Agile Alignment: Work closely with Agile Product teams, promoting best practices in DevOps and Agile engineering, and collaborating with Product Owners, Solutions Architects, and Scrum Masters.
Cloud & Infrastructure Development: Work with Cloud/DevOps engineers to refactor Azure DevOps projects, update CI/CD pipeline templates, and configure pull request templates to ensure code quality and security.
Design & Implementation: Participate in design workshops and collaborate with third parties to incorporate best practices into detailed, low-level designs.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on advancements in engineering practices and recommend improvements to processes and tools.
Profile:
The Azure DevOps Engineer should have atleast 5 + years experience working soley with Azure DevOps.
Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and toolchains, especially Azure DevOps, Terraform, YAML, PowerShell, and .NET/C#.
Proven background in software development, especially with distributed, cloud-native systems in Azure.
Experience with secure development practices, cloud infrastructure, and network security.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
