Freelance Penetration Tester | Ethical Hacker | Red Team | VAPT | 12 Months Contract | Hybrid Working | Belgium

We are seeking an experienced Software Penetration Tester to join a 12 month mission-critical programme with an organisation based in Belgium. You will need to be on site 3 days a week in the office in the Brussels area.

This role is focused on identifying, assessing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities in complex software applications used in sensitive environments. You will be working alongside development, DevSecOps, and architecture teams to conduct structured security assessments and guide remediation in line with sensitive standards.

Please see below for what we're looking for:

Strong experience in application security or software Pentesting
Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10, SANS CWE Top 25, and secure coding practices.
Proficiency in tools such as Burp Suite, ZAP, Metasploit, Kali Linux, etc.
Familiarity with testing APIs (REST/GraphQL), mobile applications, and desktop applications.
Solid understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth2, SAML, PKI).
Strong report writing and communication skills (English mandatory).
Previous experience working with or for defence, aerospace, or government clients would be desirable but not essential
