Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Engineer to support field testing activities in the European rail domain. The role involves conducting comprehensive testing on both onboard and wayside systems to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform field tests on trains, focusing on onboard and wayside subsystems.
• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and cases based on system requirements and specifications.
• Document and report test results, non-conformities, and resolutions to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot, identify, and resolve issues during field testing

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or related fields) or equivalent experience.
• Experience in rail system testing, particularly onboard and wayside systems.
• Strong knowledge of European rail standards and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with signalling systems, communication protocols, and railway operations.

Senior Machine Learning Engineer | SC Cleared | Defence | Hybrid Working | 12 Months Rolling

CBSButler are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join on an exciting defence project working on a cutting edge surveillance project within the defence space. This will be hybrid working with occasional meetings in the Gloucestershire area.

Please see below for what we're looking for:

- Proven experience as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, ideally with computer vision experience however we can consider candidates from an LLM background too

- Familiarity with advanced techniques in AI, such as reinforcement learning or neural architecture search (NAS)

- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, or similar machine learning frameworks

- Security clearance (SC or DV) is highly desirable, or willingness to go through DV clearance would be highly desirable

Desirable (Not Essential)

- Experience working with large-scale video data, sensor data, or other surveillance-related datasets would be ideal but not essential, also any exposure to defence related projects previously would also be desirable

Job Description
Our client, a consultancy firm specialising in data privacy, cyber security, business continuity, and information security services is seeking a Data Protection professional to join their team.

You will manage a portfolio of clients, providing expert advice and tailored solutions to ensure compliance with data protection laws. You will also support bespoke projects and help organisations implement best practices.

This is a full-time role, primarily remote, except for quarterly team meetings and client travel as required.

Key Responsibilities include:

Provide expert guidance on UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, PECR, and relevant international data protection laws.
Draft and implement data protection policies and procedures
Assist clients with data strategy and Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs)
Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and advise on risk mitigation.
Design and deliver data protection training programs
Support clients in handling personal data breaches and data subject rights requests.
Perform audits and gap analyses, providing practical recommendations.
Review supplier agreements and international data transfers
Act as a point of contact for data protection authorities and oversee ongoing compliance monitoring.
Lead and deliver standalone compliance projects to support client needs.
Assist in the client onboarding process and contribute to the development of internal resources

About you:

Experience in a similar data protection role.
Strong knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, PECR, and international privacy laws.
A recognised data protection qualification (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, or equivalent).
Excellent client management, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to analyse complex data issues and provide clear, practical advice.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with CRM systems and project management tools (e.g., Trello, Jira) is desirable.
