On behalf of The Ministry of Justice, we are looking for a Support Engineer (Inside IR35) for a 12 Month contract based Onsite in North East England (e.g. Newcastle, Durham -daily travel required). The Ministry of Justice is rolling out a new technology service across the MoJ, replacing the existing FITS EUCS service deployed to circa 60,000 devices. The goal is to give our colleagues modern technology that makes a real positive difference to the way they work. The Support Engineer will play a pivotal role within the Deployment Workstream of the team, managing the end-to-end deployment lifecycle for VIP Judicial users across multiple sites. This role requires daily travel to provide desk-side support to our Judicial/VIP colleagues. As a Support Engineer your main responsibilities will be to: * Provide high-quality desk-side IT support to Judicial/VIP users across multiple locations. * Manage the full deployment lifecycle - from device build and configuration to final handover. * Work independently to resolve issues, take ownership of tasks, and adapt to changing priorities. * Maintain strong relationships with senior users, handling interactions with professionalism and diplomacy. * Ensure timely delivery and execution of appointments and handovers to high standards. Essential: * Proven experience in desk-side IT support or a similar user-facing technical role. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically with senior users, including Judges and VIPs. * Experience with device delivery, build, and configuration for users. * Self-motivated and able to work independently, taking ownership of tasks and resolving challenges proactively. * Ability to absorb and apply new project processes quickly, effectively managing end-to-end scheduling and device deployment. * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring that all appointments and handovers are executed on time and to high standards. * SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks.
