Job Description
The Global Physical Security (GPS) System Team manages physical security technology across the corporation. Oracle is seeking a highly experienced and multi-talented member of the physical security systems leadership team. Manages the Global Data Center Security Systems Technical Team responsible for the provision, programming, upgrade, maintenance, and support of applications providing Access Control, CCTV, Biometric and other technical solutions allowing GPS to effectively manage physical security at Data Center sites across the global portfolio. Develops and manages the team developing robust procedures and processes to provide turn-key deployment solutions. Working closely with Project Management, Service, and Operational Teams ensuring all systems are delivered and maintained, providing optimal performance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides management and oversight ensuring that Oracle’s Security Systems are maintained and supported consistently across the globe. These initiatives include, but are not limited to:
Develops and manages the Global Data Center Security Systems Technical Team, including the sourcing of appropriate contracted staff.
Provides mentoring, development, and guidance to staff, enhancing skills with developmental training programs.
Ensures the technical aspects of Data Center project delivery are completed: Systems Programming, system configuration, commissioning, GSOC / LAC handover; works closely with the Project Management Team, VARs, and other key stakeholders.
Acts as subject matter expert within project lifecycle assisting the Project Management and Operational teams as required.
Periodically attends site to undertake site design walks and review installations ensuring they meet expected standards.
Develops and maintains documented standards covering naming conventions, programming, systems support.
Manages all aspects of annual upgrade programs to Lenel, Milestone and other supporting systems.
Ensures that the Security Systems Team complete all vulnerability tasks in a timely manner.
Provides budgetary forecasting covering hardware retirement and upgrade programs.
Manages hardware swap-out and EOL replacement programs.
Has active role in the overall management of all providers, participating in all QBR / ABR programs.
Works closely with Global Service Teams providing 2nd / 3rd line support resourcing as required.
Contributes to the programs to enroll key providers working through the RFP process as required.
Performs additional functions as directed by the Director of Global Data Center Security Systems as necessary to achieve assigned business objectives.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in managing teams delivering Access Control and CCTV systems to corporate industry; demonstrating a Data Center Security Systems focus and understanding.
Individuals in this position must be self-motivated requiring little or no direct supervision, possessing strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Must possess a strong background in design of Lenel Access Control & Milestone CCTV Systems. Wider experience of further Access Control, CCTV and other Security Systems is highly desirable.
Experience of Data Center Security systems installation and support would be advantageous.
The position requires travel to Data Centers across the Oracle Global portfolio. Often attending project planning, coordination and implementation meetings supporting Data Center Project Managers, GPS Operational Team, Architects, General Contractors, and our appointed VAR.
Ability to communicate and articulate with a high level of proficiency in both the written and verbal format at all levels, up to and including Corporate Executive leadership.
Highly proficient with all basic Microsoft computer software programs and communication techniques.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
BS/BA Degree desirable but not mandatory.
Lenel OnGuard / Milestone CCTV certifications are highly desirable.
Physically located in UK, EMEA.
Ability to show experience in above required essential functions is mandatory.
Additional industry certifications are highly desirable, but not absolutely required.

The Global Data Center Security Systems Technical Program Directors’ scope of responsibility will be of a Global nature.
The qualified candidate will report directly to the Director, Global Data Center Security Systems who is based in the UK.
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
This is an Individual Contributor (IC) role requiring minimal direct supervision, management of a global embedded team, carrying a high degree of responsibility and operational impact upon the business function.
There is an expectancy of up to 30% global travel.
