Job Title: Lead Electrical Engineer – Green Hydrogen & Ammonia Projects

Location: Leatherhead, UK (Hybrid – Ideally Minimum 4 days/week onsite, Could be negotiable)
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
Contract length: initially 12 Months

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team in delivering pioneering green hydrogen and ammonia projects. These projects are at the forefront of the energy transition, integrating renewable power sources with conventional generation technologies to support industrial-scale decarbonization.

This role is based in Leatherhead and will play a key leadership role in the design and development of power systems for facilities with energy demands exceeding 100MW.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the electrical engineering scope for green hydrogen and ammonia projects.
Develop and oversee electrical power distribution systems, including:
Electrolysers
Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
Synchronous Condensers (Syncons)
Manage the preparation and delivery of Concept and FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) packages.
Lead and coordinate a multi-disciplinary, multi-office electrical engineering team.
Collaborate with project management and stakeholders to ensure delivery of technical solutions that meet cost, schedule, and performance targets.
Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.

Key Requirements:
Extensive experience in high-voltage power systems design and distribution (100MW+).
Proven track record in leading electrical design teams for energy or large infrastructure projects.
Hands-on experience with Concept and FEED stages of engineering projects.
Familiarity with integrating renewables and energy storage systems.
Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills, particularly within multi-location project execution models.
Available for a minimum of 4 days per week onsite in Leatherhead.
