Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join their team in Manchester.
Senior Civil/Structural Engineer
Location: Manchester (Hybrid Working)
Contract Duration: Until October 2025
Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Inside IR35
Key Responsibilities:
Perform civil and structural analysis, calculations, and prepare reports and specifications.
Collaborate with BIM teams to communicate designs clearly and accurately.
Attend site visits, design reviews, and client meetings as necessary.
Support and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and development.
Act as the lead engineer during client meetings, showcasing authority and confidence in presenting technical solutions.
Ensure designs and deliverables meet industry standards and client requirements.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum of 5-10 years experience in civil/structural engineering, preferably in nuclear, oil & gas, or process industries.
BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
Chartered status with ICE or IStructE is preferred.
CSCS card holder is desirable.
Strong experience working with multi-disciplinary teams.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge and experience of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.

We are looking for an experienced Power System Studies Engineer to support a range of onshore and offshore projects.
Details:
Location: Leatherhead (hybrid working possible – 2 days remote)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: 12-month
IR35 Status: Outside IR35 (subject to Qdos assessment)
Rate: £65.00 per hour (Ltd Co)
Schedule: Monday – Friday – 4 Days in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting power system studies including:
Equipment sizing
Load flow analysis
Short circuit calculations
Dynamic motor starting
Harmonic analysis
Arc flash and transient stability
Protection coordination
Running studies directly and overseeing third-party vendors for studies (including those using EMT software)
Ensuring technical compliance and delivery across multi-disciplinary teams
Key Requirements:
Proven experience in Power Systems Engineering
Strong working knowledge of ETAP software (essential)
Experience with renewable power systems, BESS, and grid interfacing up to 220kV
Familiarity with EMT software for advanced modelling (advantageous)
Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and UK grid codes

We are currently seeking a Senior Planner with experience in Civil Engineering to join our team for two exciting projects: one at AWE Aldermaston and another at RAF Fairford. This role is essential for the feasibility phase of both projects.
Key Requirements:
SC clearance is mandatory (baseline SC clearance required)
Must be able to obtain BPSS clearance
