We have partnered up with a Global FinTech organisation working on some cutting-edge projects within the finance space! On the lookout for a Python Engineer to join the engineering team in Amsterdam and scale their well-received product further. Looking for a versatile engineer happy to contribute to hit deliverables across the engineering teams.

Role and responsibilities:
Backend feature development in Python and Django
Develop robust and testable Python-based batch systems to support Europe’s trading operations
Deliver operational support for Europe’s infrastructure
Collaborate with business development and sales teams to create innovative products and features for the exchanges
Contribute to R&D initiatives by evaluating and implementing emerging technologies
Engage as an active member of a global software development team

Job requirements:
Degree in Software Engineering
5+ years of Backend, web-based application development (Django)
5+ years of development experience with Python, Django, Jenkins
Solid understanding of the European securities industry and capital markets
Experience with testing methodologies such as TDD (Test-Driven Development) and BDD (Behavior-Driven Development)
Familiarity with technologies including PostgreSQL, Jenkins, Django, and Pandas
Understanding of Microservices Architecture and development of RESTful API services
Exposure to event-driven architectures, message queues, or event-streaming platforms
Experience with cloud technologies
Working knowledge of Java or C++
