The Role

As a Network Engineer II, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the company’s network infrastructure, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and implementing network solutions. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will play a hands-on role in ensuring the performance, security, and availability of the network. This role provides a great opportunity to develop technical skills and contribute to critical network projects in a collaborative environment.

Your day-to-day

Network Operations and Maintenance
Support and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
Monitor network performance, identify and resolve network issues, and ensure reliable connectivity across the organization.
Execute scheduled maintenance tasks and firmware updates to maintain network performance and security.
Troubleshooting and Support
Investigate and troubleshoot network incidents, escalating complex issues to senior engineers as necessary.
Work with cross-functional teams to support network needs for applications, services, and user support.
Respond to network support tickets and participate in the on-call rotation for critical network issues.
Network Implementation and Projects
Assist in the deployment of network projects, including LAN/WAN setup, VPN configuration, and cloud connectivity.
Collaborate on implementing network upgrades and enhancements to support scalability and performance improvements.
Document network configurations, changes, and best practices to maintain accurate records and knowledge sharing.
Security and Compliance
Support network security initiatives by assisting with firewall configuration, access controls, and monitoring.
Conduct routine security checks and assist in compliance audits and vulnerability assessments.
Ensure adherence to security policies and assist in identifying potential areas for improvement.
Professional Development
Stay updated on emerging network technologies and industry best practices.
Participate in training and certification programs to advance technical knowledge and skills.
What You Bring To The Team

Extensive experience in network engineering, preferably in enterprise environments
Experience with public cloud networking configurations (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Experience and knowledge of Juniper Network, Switches and Routers.
Experience with network troubleshooting and support for complex LAN/WAN environments
Proficiency in networking technologies such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP) and hands-on experience with network monitoring tools.
Basic scripting or automation knowledge (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a proactive approach to technical challenges.

Desirable

BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Network-related certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are highly desirable.
